How Blind is Double Blind Review?

چکیده

The peer-review system as a critical tool in academic processes is regarded to be essential. It not used only evaluate the manuscripts submitted journals but also tenure decisions, promotions, and grant applications. However, during last few decades, has become subject of research criticized from various aspects. Many scholars studied process presented biases emerging due characteristics authors reviewers. In this paper, published by faculties economics administrative sciences political indexed TR Dizin are studied. observed that language article, number, title, gender, institutional affiliation do influence acceptance period. there difference between average periods journals, which quite similar. Moreover, being faculty member publisher provides significantly shorter period on average. reason for such differentiation may either existence considerable extent bias at editorial stages or communication editors with reviewers way influences process.
